A Community of All Ages

We are a multigenerational congregation with strong youth and family programs, and vibrant partnerships with senior organizations like Horizon House.  We share worship, story, and song together through programs on Sundays and through the week. We celebrate and break bread together, retreat together, volunteer and serve, and travel on missions together.

A History of Spiritual Leadership and Social Innovation

We got our start in 1869, the same year that appears on Seattle’s corporate seal. Since that time, we’ve been leading advocates of the values of compassion and equality in the civic and spiritual life of our region.  We’ve created or inspired significant social innovations such as Plymouth Housing Group, and Plymouth Healing Communities, and we fund grant programs that support other social innovators and non-profit organizations.

Arts, Music and Story

Plymouth Church is animated by music, art and story, and inspired by an aesthetic experience of worship that points to the reality of life beyond the five senses.  Our sanctuary is filled with joyful expressions of our own art, the music of our adult and children and hand bell choirs, and art is integrated into our children's programs on Sunday Morning.

Spiritual Sanctuary

Through worship and small group ministry, we offer people a place to explore their spirituality in safety. Our Labyrinth ministry offers members and visitors a relaxed setting for spiritual renewal through walking meditation and prayer.

Faith in Action

Plymouth is a place to get involved. With numerous active lay-leadership groups, we are an unstoppable movement toward alleviating suffering locally, regionally and internationally. Many of our members are advocates for social and environmental justice, and we inspire others to civic action through faith formation and educational programs. We advocate for the full acceptance of gay, lesbian and transgender persons; and take spiritually-informed stands on issues such as homelessness and economic inequality.
