Inspiration grants are awarded every year, generally in December, to Plymouth members who volunteer with a non-profit engaged in community service, social action or social change.
Inspiration Grants provide one-time funding to non-profit organizations that involve Plymouth members as volunteers. The organization must be involved in social service, social justice, social action or social change.
Grants are applied for and sponsored by Plymouth members who are directly engaged with the organization as volunteers. In collaboration with the Community Service and Social Action (CSSA) Board, Plymouth sponsors need to provide information about the organization and encourage additional volunteer involvement through an article for the Plymouth Herald, a bulletin announcement, and some other form of publicity.
The intent of these one-time grants is to fulfill the CSSA Board’s mission to open the congregation to the transforming power of God’s spirit in ways that lead to social change.
