Brandon Duran joined Plymouth in May 2010 as the Director of Children, Youth, & Family Ministries

Brandon has served in various ministerial roles in United Church of Christ churches in the Seattle area since 2004.   Raised in central California, Brandon moved to the Seattle area after spending a number of years overseas in China and more recently in Venezuela.

Brandon and his beloved Janelle live north of Seattle.  They enjoy travel and are quite excitable about the Seattle Sounders FC.

Brandon holds an undergraduate degree from Azusa Pacific University, and a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Brandon is, “thrilled to partner with parents and volunteers to create faith formation experiences for children, youth, and families.”

"In my ministry, I often return to biblical values of courage, compassion, and creativity as touchstones.  It is precisely these values that I see children and youth express in simple and profound ways.  A child's willingness to try something new, to explore the unknown, and to take risks inspires me.  The freedom to dream big that I see in youth motivates me to expand my imagination when creating new faith formation programs.  Compassion, or the willingness to laugh and cry with another, is a core value of Christianity that I see in the families of Plymouth week in and out.  I am blessed to walk this journey of faith with the people of Plymouth."
