Pastor Brigitta Remole joined Plymouth in September 2011 as Senior Minister.

After serving congregations in Connecticut, Brigitta’s move to the Northwest was like returning “home.”  Although she grew up overseas as the daughter of an American diplomat, living in such countries as Malawi, Uganda, Mali, Martinique, Congo, and Germany,  her grandparents were in the timber business in Klickitat WA and were on the forefront of implementing sustainable practices back in the 1930s.  She joins a sister who lives in Lynnwood WA and parents who live in Randle WA, 26 miles from the base camp of Mt. Rainer.

Brigitta has two daughters, Erin and Kristin.  Erin is a junior at Hartwick College in New York and is studying nursing.  Kristin is finishing high school at the end of 2011, and will be moving to the Northwest.

Brigitta holds an undergraduate degree from Carleton College, a Masters of Divinity from Yale University, and a Masters in clinical social work from New York University.

“A person once asked Jesus, ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”  Jesus replied:  'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’”

“He invites us to take the deep dive and come to know the Divine in ways that are both intimate and abiding. Following Jesus leads us out of what is often a confusing sense of destiny and purpose; it is a team sport!   He invites us to be a community so we are strengthened to follow His words into the world.  God steadily leads us onward in ways that ‘ear has not heard, or human understanding imagined.’  This is our story, our gospel, our life.”
