Come deepen your faith by offering communion to your brothers and sisters of Plymouth! Participate in this ancient rite as we share the bread of life and the cup of blessing with all, with no barriers to participation in this gift of God's grace!
Come extend Jesus' radical open table to everyone: All Are Welcome to this Feast!

Communion Servers are a ministry team of the Worship, Music, and Arts Board.  Servers are needed once a month to assist the clergy in offering the elements of bread and juice to the congregation during the sacrament of communion.  All ages are welcome!  No experience needed-- just show up Sunday morning for a brief training and help share the gift of communion during worship.

If you are interested in a deeper level of participation, be a Communion Team Leader!  Assist with set up of the communion table and elements prior to the service, and with clean up after.  Help supervise lay leaders during worship.  Commitment is flexible: 1-3 Sundays or more if you love it!

Feel as though communion is your calling?  Want to be part of the conversation about how communion is served, the aesthetics of the table, the liturgy spoken and shared, the type of bread we use?  Want to work with the Worship, Music, and Arts Board to plan special celebrations of communion?  Be our Communion Coordinator!  Recruit, schedule and supervise team leaders and lay volunteers.  Act as team leader, arrange for bread, juice, and gluten-free alternatives, and oversee communion closet.  Communicate names of servers to church office by the Tuesday prior to communion Sunday.  Work with WAM Board on making communion a vital part of worship.  Commitment: the first Sunday of every month, plus additional work outside of church for recruitment and grocery shopping!
