“God has yet more light and truth to break forth from the Word.” -- John Robinson
The Plymouth Library has an outstanding collection of materials for Plymouth members and their children to use and borrow. The above quotation is inscribed on a banner above the doorway of our library, as a reflection of the United Church of Christ’s heritage and our church’s openness to new learning.
The library is managed by the Library Committee and our part-time librarian, Suzanne Sanderson.
To operate on Sunday mornings, the library needs volunteers. If you love books, please consider volunteering! Training is provided. There are several ways you can serve:
- Volunteer in library. Provide a friendly face to library users, and help them find, check in and check out materials. Time commitment: 9:45 to 11:00 Sunday mornings, once a month or two (summer Sundays 9:30 to 10:30).
- Volunteer at library book cart. Help library users to check out books from a selection displayed during Hospitality Hour. Time commitment: about 45 minutes, after 11:00 service on Sundays, once a month.
- Serve on Library Committee. Time commitment: monthly meetings, plus some additional volunteering as your schedule allows.
