Plymouth offers many opportunities to engage in both choral and instrumental music. If you have a musical talent you wish to share, please contact Wanda Griffiths, Transitional Music Director and Organist.
Plymouth Choir serves as Plymouth’s principal choir in worship at 11 am (Sept thru May). The choir sings a diverse repertory of sacred music from gospel and world music to diverse anthems. The choir also performs several special concerts during the year. Past performances include the Requiems of Durufle, Faure and Mozart, the Creation by Haydn, Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Magnificat. Plymouth Choir rehearses Thursdays at 7:30 pm in the Lounge. Rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary.
Plymouth Ringers, a handbell choir, is directed by Wanda Griffiths and plays for worship throughout the year (Sept thru May) including Easter and Christmas Eve. Participants must be able to read music. Rehearsals are held in Hildebrand Hall Thursdays at 6:30 pm.
Plymouth Children's Choir, directed by Rosemary Hashimoto and is open to children in grades 2-7. Children sing throughout the year and for special services such as the annual Christmas Eve Family service.
Puget Brass Ensemble is Plymouth’s Brass Ensemble in Residence, with about 30 members. The Puget Brass play a holiday concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. The ensemble also leads worship for special festival services in the Sanctuary. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays at 6:45 pm in Hildebrand Hall.
