 Plymouth members and friends are committed to serving our neighbors in need though a broad program of community service and social action. - Make Sandwiches for Angelines Day Center for Homeless Women:
Spend an hour helping make sandwiches on the 2nd Friday or 3rd Sunday of every month.
- Plymouth Housing Group
PHG is a non profit agency founded by Plymouth members to provide housing and services to the formerly homeless in downtown Seattle. Volunteers are needed for the tenant supply closet, the computer learning center and special events in the buildings.
- Youth Care/Orion Center Suppers:
Plymouth folks provide and serve supper the first Monday of each month to homeless youth.
- Emergency Food Packing:
Join in packing bags of emergency food each month for free distribution to families.
- Crossing Borders Ministry:
Help involve the Plymouth congregation with the congregation of Iglesia Morava in Managua, Nicaragua.
- Plymouth House of Healing:
This Plymouth operated home is a place where individuals convalescing from hospitalization for mental illness can experience the stability of a home and the balm of caring companionship. There are many ways to get involved with the Plymouth House of Healing.
- Plymouth Habitat Action Group:
This group raises funds and recruits workers to build and renovate homes for low-income people. A variety of work experiences are available. All skill levels are welcome.
- Mental Health Chaplaincy:
This group reaches out to the homeless mentally ill on the streets of downtown Seattle and supports a ministry of hospitality and companionship at Angelines - a day center for homeless women and at the Gatewood, a Plymouth Housing Group building in the heart of downtown. Activities include sharing games, food, crafts and conversation.
- Creation Care Action Group:
Help focus on caring for God's creation both within our congregation's life and in the broader community.
- Peace Action Group:
Advocate for peace, justice and non-violence locally and in the world.
- Living Wage Ministry:
This group is committed to educating ourselves and the broader community on this important economic justice issue and advocating for systemic change.
- Advocacy Alert:
An e-mail alert about legislative issues of concern and calls for political action.
- Alice Hooker Center
An outreach of the congregation of Iglesia Morava in Managua, Nicaragua offering technical training and support to women and their families.
- Bethany Church UCC
This is a multiracial, multicultural, intergenerational new church in the Beacon Hill neighborhood.
