Celebrate the wonder and pageantry of Christmas at Plymouth Church, Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24. At the 5 pm service, the Christmas story will be brought to life through Lessons and Carols with a visit from Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus. Also, hear Plymouth Soul Choir, special musical guests and the Fisk organ, played by Dr. Wanda Griffiths. Message will be delivered by Rev. Kelle Brown and guest speakers. Service concludes with candles and an all-sing Silent Night, followed by refreshments in the Lounge.
The 9 pm service, also led by Reverend Kelle Brown, begins with an inspirational 8:30 pm musical prelude featuring Plymouth Chancel Choir, Organist Dr. Wanda Griffiths, string ensemble and Harpist John Carrington in the Christmas Oratorio by Camille Saint-Sens Lessons and Carols and candle-lighting. Refreshments will be served until 8:30 pm, in the Lounge.
A special offering will be collected at Christmas Eve services, designated for Teen Feed, a local organization that provides basic needs for homeless young people to aid them in starting a life off the streets and the UCC Christmas Fund, which provides direct assistance to retired clergy and laypersons. Free parking available for both servicesin the Plymouth and IBM garages.Subscribe
