November 3, 2015
The Good News: About half of all 2016 pledge forms have been returned to the church office, and of those, over 1/3 represent new or increased pledge amounts! Great job, Plymouth sailors, for helping provision our boat for the 2016 journey!
The Bad News: Only half of all 2016 pledge forms have been returned to the church office! This Sunday, November 8, marks the official end of our fall stewardship campaign, and the Good Ship Plymouth is still missing half its crew. If you haven’t already done so, please bring your pledge form this Sunday or mail your signed form to the office today.
As you consider your 2016 pledge, keep in mind that Plymouth is completely reliant on its members to fund all of our programs, ministries, worship experiences, salaries and other operations. Unlike other non-profits that qualify for government or corporate funding, Plymouth does not benefit from the support of external groups. It’s all up to us.
Your pledge will help keep us seaworthy as we navigate the seas of 2016. And if that’s not enough, consider your fellow shipmates (aka the five members of the stewardship crew). Every pledge form turned in now means one less follow-up phone call they have to make during the holiday season!
Thank you for your ongoing generosity and commitment to Plymouth. Please join your fellow journeyers this Sunday, November 8 as we celebrate the conclusion of the stewardship campaign and our launch into 2016! –Plymouth 2016 Stewardship Committee
