Year after year, Plymouth members volunteer with organizations on the front lines of social change and service to members of our communities. It is what so many of you do to serve those who need some help and to provide a guiding presence.
What we gain from our work for others matches what we put into it. We are transformed and fulfilled in unexpected ways.
It works best when we share our experiences with fellow members who understand your story, and what it means to you and the people you help serve. Perhaps you will inspire others to pick up the cause in ways that can build on your work.
Plymouth has a program called Inspiration Grants that can help. Grants, up to $2,000 each, are paid from the Community Service and Social Action board (CSSA) donation budget which itself is funded from 2015 Stewardship pledges. Funds are sent directly to the non-profit organization that members have volunteered for in the past year. As many as four grants will be given before the end of 2015. The CSSA board reviews all applications and selects grant recipients. Selections will be made and announced in December, 2015.
You must tell the story, though, so others can know about the organization you wish to sponsor, and what your volunteer involvement means to you and to those helped. Please download an Inspiration Grant application using the link below and email your submission according to instructions contained in the form. Or ask for a paper version at the office and mail to:
