Celebrate the wonder of Christmas at Plymouth Church this Christmas Eve with music, candles and love...
Wee Worship Christmas Eve service : 4 pm, Thursday, December 24, in Hildebrand Hall. Plymouth children dramatize the Christmas story complete with angels, shepherds, villagers and stable animals along with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus and a black lab. Filled with the joy and excitement of children, all are invited to experience this inspirational and uplifting40-minute service.
The 6 pm service takes place in Plymouth Sanctuary, led by Reverend Kelle Brown. Filled with joyous carol singing and pieces sung by Plymouth youth, a highlight of this much-anticipated worship service is the closing carol, Silent Night, when each person lights a candle and everyone sings Silent Night.
Refreshments will be served in the Lounge between 4 and 6 pm services, with candy canes for children.
The 9 pm Festive Candles and Carols service begins with a musical prelude at 8:30 pm, with organ, string ensemble and Plymouth Choir. They will play Messe de Minuit pour Noël and French Noels for Organ.
Worship will commence with lighting the Christ candle, Lessons and Carols and a message of hope from Rev. Brigitta Remole. All will light individual candles and sing Silent Night together.
A special offering will be collected at Christmas Eve services, designated for the Justice Leadership Program and the UCC Christmas Fund, a ministry of the UCC Pension Board. Read more.
