All are invited to participate in Plymouth Piecemakers, a beloved Plymouth tradition that brings people together to create quilts for graduating Plymouth seniors, new babies, Plymouth Healing Communities and more. Flora Dalglish hosts the next monthly meeting, Tuesday, March 15, at her home.
“We welcome quilters and sewers of all experience and ability levels,” she says. “We need a volunteer to provide a list of graduating seniors to begin planning. W would love to see folks who are interested in maintaining the tradition of Piecemakers to help us quilt for youth, newborns, departing clergy and Plymouth Healing Community volunteers and others.”
Flora hopes to revitalize the group to carry on and honor the work of founder Maurine Noble. Several members have either moved or become involved in other projects. So, Piecemakers are actively recruiting new participants.
If you have a story, thank you or photos to share about those who have received a quilt in past years, please send them to Flora to share with the congregation! Stories and photos will be published in the Herald, posted on the website and shared on social media.
