Plymouth Hosts Outdoor Summer Concerts

June 6, 2016

Summer in Seattle means taking full advantage of great weather and enjoying the many outdoor concerts available to downtown residents, professionals and visitors. As a downtown outreach, Plymouth cosponsors outdoor noon concerts in collaboration with Downtown Seattle Association (DSA). Sponsorship offers us the opportunity to be on-site for three noontime concerts, where Plymouth volunteers and staff host an information table, meet with hundreds of people from all walks of life and share information about Plymouth Church and the UCC. In addition, Plymouth’s logo appears on DSA publications, banners, social media and website throughout summer months.

Next Plymouth onsite concert date is Friday, August 26, at Freeway Park with the Polyrhythmics (an 8 piece jazzy, modern afrobeat brass and string orchestra). Find complete Out to Lunch Concert Series schedule at: DowntownSeattle.com.  Thanks to Barbara Rhoe for volunteering for the August concerts.

Also this summer, Plymouth collaborates with Ventures (our community investment loan partnership) to bring their food truck entrepreneurs to Sixth and University. A one-woman ice cream cart, another Ventures project, visits Plymouth’s main entrance during our Music & Arts Camp to offer ice cream for kids and business neighbors. Celebrate summer!–Janice Randall
