2017 Nonviolence Workshop at University Congregational UCC, Feb. 17 & 18.
Commit to learning “practices” of social change to better prepare ourselves when it’s time to stand up. Join the 2016 recipient of the Gandhi International Humanitarian Award Bernard Lafayette Jr. – a foundational participant in the Civil Rights Movement and key foot-soldier who joins civil rights pilgrimages co-led by David Domke.
All are welcome Friday, February 17, 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm and Saturday, February 18, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, at University Congregational United Church of Christ as Dr. Lafayette teaches the power and techniques of Kingian nonviolence in this free workshop. Pre-registration is required. Learn how nonviolence principles can send illuminating messages of love and acceptance, even when met with anger, prejudice and hate.
