Symbols for New Life

Bunnies, chicks and eggs symbolize new life, so you can see how they are associated with Easter. Butterflies also symbolize Easter. The butterfly’s life cycle illustrates the life of Jesus Christ. The first stage, as the caterpillar, stands for Jesus' life on earth. The second phase begins from the cocoon, portraying the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. The third and final stage, as the butterfly, represents resurrection.
