Help Needed Lambert House LGBT Youth Center, Plymouth’s current Change Grant recipient seeks to hire a part-time Program Coordinator/LGBT Cultural Competency Training for Religious Leaders and Parents to work 18 hours/week, through December 2020, to implement a new program, made possible by the Change Grant. The program goal is to minimize conflict between LGBT youth and their religious parents. The successful applicant will deliver LGBT cultural competency training that you develop specifically for religious leaders, religious school staff and parents of faith that request such training. Lambert House is a national leader in LGBTQ youth community building – the primary prevention strategy for the constellation of risks that disproportionately affects all LGBTQ youth. The risks we address include: social isolation, depression, suicide, alcohol and other drug use, HIV & other STDs, family conflict that can lead to homelessness and survival sex and school failure. Lambert House provides LGBTQ youth with daily opportunities to connect with other youth and supportive adults. More information available at LambertHouse.org.
