A Night of Celtic Music Award-winning Irish tenor and Celtic Thunder lead singer Emmet Cahill will be in concert at University Christian Church in Seattle on Friday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. Emmet will perform songs from his debut orchestral album, “Emmet Cahill’s Ireland,” which went to number one on the Amazon, iTunes and Billboard World Music charts and offers the very best of the traditional Irish repertoire. Song selections include "Danny Boy," "An Irish Lullaby," "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" and more. Emmet’s concert will also feature Broadway standards ("This Is The Moment," "Music Of The Night," "Bring Him Home"), nostalgic favorites ("Moon River," "On the Street Where You Live") and hymns, plus an occasional operatic aria that will showcase his classical vocal training received at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. The Justice Leadership Program, affiliate of the national Young Adult Service Communities Network, seeks motivated young people ages 21-35 for an 11-month internship beginning in September 2018. Interns learn community organizing and political advocacy working full time at a Seattle-based nonprofit, while living in intentional community and serving a local congregation. Justice Leadership Jubilee is filling its next cohort of volunteers, who serve part-time for six to nine months at a local organization working for structural change toward social justice.. Jubilee is a program for individuals seeking a deeper analysis of systemic injustice, and a desire to strengthen the connection between faith and justice in a cohort of their peers.
