Make Prayer Stars Sunday Join the arts team at 10 am in the Lounge and create your own “Prayer Star” for Christmas Eve. Your star will hold your written prayers for the world, community and each other to shine above the Chancel during Christmas Eve services and through Epiphany. We hope the beauty of your stars and the prayers they contain bring the gift of love and light to all those who enter our Sanctuary.
Serve at Christmas The Community and Care Board seeks volunteers to plate cookies and put out for Christmas Eve. If you plan to attend the 5 pm Celebration Worship,arrive by 4 pm. If you plan to attend the 9 pm Candlelight Worship, arrive by 8 pm. If you are able to help, please contact June Hayakawa-Fung at JHayakawafung@PlymouthChurchSeattle.org.
Thank you for your for Inspiration Grant applications The Community Service and Social Action (CSSA) Board is currently reviewing applications for one-time grants of up to $2,000 each to organizations in which Plymouth members are involved and that meet eligibility criteria. This is an annual opportunity offered to those in covenant with Plymouth Church.
Attention Board and Committee Chairs Plymouth Church Annual Report information is due Friday, December 29. If you are on a committee or board, please talk with your staff liaison about content. The Annual Report is both an opportunity and an obligation to summarize the purpose/mission of the committee/board, highlight the year’s accomplishments and share goals for the year ahead. The report will be published and distributed in advance of the Annual meeting slated for Sunday, January 28.
Thank you! Our friends from Casa Latina informed us that we raised d$4,428 for Casa Latina at the Nov. 5 Dia de Los Muertos concert. Fantastic! Share Your Favorite Hymn! Sari Breznau, Plymouth Soul Choir Director invites requests and stories about your favorite hymns for 9 am worship. Your favorites will be programmed throughout the fall, with an invitation to introduce the hymn during worship and briefly explain your choice or a memory associated with your hymn.
