The UCC Justice Leadership Program is looking for an intern to work with Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness September 2017 through July 2018.
The Justice Leadership Program offers young adults (ages 21-35) the opportunity to make social change by working at the intersection of social justice and spirituality. This eleven-month internship features political advocacy and organizing, faith-based service and leadership development:
The Coalition on Homelessness is a coalition of 60+ member organizations that advocates on city, county and state level for more shelter, transitional housing and services to support individuals who are homeless. The Coalition is a fast-paced work environment and the UCC Social Justice Intern plays an integral role in the Coalition’s small staff. The Intern provides general support for the Coalition’s overall advocacy activities, including Advocacy 101 forums, voter registration, Project Cool for Back-to-School, membership support and speaking out in budget and other policy decisions.
