A Community of All Ages

A multigenerational congregation, Plymouth offers youth and family programs and vibrant partnerships with senior communities such as Horizon House. Plymouth also provides a vital, urban neighborhood resource and advocates for equality and justice for all. We share worship, story and song together in Sunday programs and throughout the year. Please join us to celebrate and break bread together, retreat together, volunteer, advocate and travel on mission trips together.

A History of Spiritual Leadership and Social Innovation

Plymouth began its legacy in 1869, the same year that appears on Seattle’s corporate seal. Today, Plymouth continues to advocate for values of compassion and equality in regional, civic and spiritual life. The people of Plymouth Church created and inspired significant social innovations, such as Plymouth Housing Group and Plymouth Healing Communities. Plymouth also funds multiple significant grant programs that support other community's social innovators and non-profit organizations, such as Lambert House, Village of Hope, Mary's Place and Recovery Cafe.

Music, Visual Arts and Story

Inspired by music, visual arts and story, Plymouth Church offers aesthetic, multi-sensory worship experiences that point to the reality of life beyond the obvious. Plymouth is home to fine art and community exhibits and joyful music shared by choirs and guest musicians. Art and music are also integrated into Sunday morning children's and youth programs. Plymouth installed a new CB Fisk organ and renovated the main Sanctuary in 2015.

Spiritual Sanctuary

Through worship and small group ministries, Plymouth offers all people a place to safely explore and celebrate their spirituality. The Labyrinth ministry offers members and visitors a relaxed setting for spiritual renewal through walking meditation and prayer.

Faith in Action

Get involved! Through numerous active lay-leadership groups, Plymouth continually works toward alleviating suffering locally, regionally and internationally. Plymouth members and friends advocate for social and environmental justice; inspire others to civic action through faith formation and educational programs and advocate for full acceptance of all ages, ethnicities, gender identities and sexual orientation. Plymouth takes educated and spiritually-informed stands on issues including homelessness, immigration issues, economic inequality, racial injustice, gun control and more.
