PROGRESSIVE. RELEVANT. SPIRITUALLY ALIVE.

Who We Are

Plymouth Church is a radically inclusive community of faith, hope, love and acceptance...

A multigenerational congregation, Plymouth Church offers youth and family programs, and vibrant partnerships with senior communities. Plymouth also provides a vital, urban neighborhood resource and advocates for equality and justice for all. We share worship, story and song together in Sunday programs and throughout the year. Please join us to celebrate, worship and break bread together, each week from the worship section of this website.

Whether you are a seeker, skeptic, believer, or somewhere in between on life’s journey, you are welcome here. We are grateful for your presence and invite you to participate in worship and service of Plymouth Church.

Spiritual Leadership and Social Responsibility

Plymouth Church began its legacy in 1869, the same year that appears on Seattle’s corporate seal. Today, the church continues to advocate for values of compassion and equality in regional, civic and spiritual life. The people of Plymouth Church created and inspired significant social innovations, such as Plymouth Housing Group and Plymouth Healing Communities. Plymouth also funds multiple significant grant programs that support other communities' social innovators and non-profit organizations.

Spiritual Sanctuary

Through worship and small group ministries, Plymouth offers all people a place to safely explore and celebrate their spirituality. The Labyrinth ministry offers members and visitors a relaxed setting for spiritual renewal through walking meditation and prayer.

Music, Visual Arts and Story

Inspired by music, visual arts and story, Plymouth Church offers aesthetic, multi-sensory worship experiences that point to the reality of life beyond the obvious. Plymouth is home to fine art and community exhibits and joyful music shared by choirs and guest musicians.

Plymouth Church Mission Partners

Plymouth ministers to the wider community through partnerships with organizations advocating justice for the most vulnerable among us. We work together to help people experiencing homelessness and mental illness, to address  economic inequality, immigration issues, institutional racism and environmental justice.

The Braxton Institute co-creates collective strategies to repair and heal harms and traumas of historically oppressed communities and to lift up legacies of resistance and joy. We do this by employing education, the arts, ritual and spiritual traditions to support leaders with marginalized identities, foster community building across generations, advance research, teaching, public dialogue and advocacy, and to provide healing, resilience and sustainability in dangerous times. Plymouth Healing Communities

Healing takes place when people are shown the care, love and respect we all deserve. Plymouth Healing Communities provides companionship, housing, and circles of support for people who live with mental illness and housing instability. Click here to learn more and get involved.

Plymouth Housing

Plymouth Housing works to eliminate homelessness and address its causes by preserving, developing, and operating safe, quality, supportive housing and by providing adults experiencing homelessness with opportunities to stabilize and improve their lives. Click here to learn more and get involved.
