Dear Friends,
At the last Exploratory Development Committee (EDC) meeting, Melony Joyce referenced “theology of place” which, among other things, uplifts a comparison between sacred place on earth and human-Jesus on earth. Both are sent to us from God for our salvation.
I do not know where I am going with this except to sit with “theology of place” and the notion that the parcel of cosmos at 6th and University is sacred; sent from God to realize love, connectedness, healing, and resolution. I often use the analogy of the radio – a receiver of transmissions – to describe what we hear from the God we are tapping into. I am wondering about the potential for the place at 6th and University to be a receiver and transmitter of more than just our favorite stations.
This Herald piece is intended to share some Q&A’s pertaining to what the EDC has learned as we explore development options for 6th and University. Please look at them and send us your thoughts and further questions. Click here to view Q&A.
With love and curiosity,
Tom Maul for the EDC
