Community members gathered together with Church Council of Greater Seattle (CCGS) staff on May 11 for an in-person training on our Foundations of Faith-Rooted Organizing. Participants dove into the four steps of our faith-rooted organizing spiral, which leads us through iterative phases of Listening, Learning, Acting, and Reflecting. We explored and expressed these steps through shared stories in small groups and individual reflection questions, weaving together our visions for a more liberated world.
This training was the first in an on-going series, designed to bring community members across the CCGS network into our organizing methodologies and values frameworks. The next training in this series will take place on August 18. Please save the date and keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks. We value your courage and curiosity in learning together.
