Plymouth, we are re-membering our stewardship efforts for the remainder of 2022 into 2023!
In the coming days, we will be “Leaning In” as an invitation for those in covenant with Plymouth to give on a regular basis. Rather than “pledging”, we are vowing financial commitment as a part of the covenant that the congregation made on Homecoming Sunday. This means you will turn in your covenant card with the amount you will give regularly. It also means that you will see your gifts at work in our church, community and the world.
You are invited to share your financial gifts as well as your participation and volunteer hours as we work together to empower Plymouth Church and our needed ministry in the world.
Covenant cards will be mailed soon and will read:
“As a measure of my covenant to Plymouth Church, I vow to share $___________ every _______ (week/month/year). I will attend worship regularly and volunteer in the ministries of Plymouth Church, as best I am able, with my time, gifts, and energy.”
Please return your card by mail or in person on Sunday, November 13.
Friends, a covenant does not rely on numbers. However, it is generated and sustained by commitment toward our common goal to be a radically inclusive, Progressive Christian church in the world.
Thanks to the many who have continued your faithfulness through many days of pandemic and chaos in the world. Furthermore, thank you to those who will give with greater vigor as we take on the many challenges of being church together. Your giving, your loving, your praying for our leaders, and listening for the Spirit together will make all the difference in who we shall be together. I pray that our congregation will respond with faithful excitement! -Rev. Dr. Kelle J. Brown
