“The Space Between: The Emerging Church in a Post-Pandemic World” will be held online only Sept. 19-21. Originally planned as a hybrid gathering, with registrants participating online or in person in St. Louis, the summit will now be solely a virtual event. With low participation for the in-person portion so far, and given the amount of money involved in coordinating a hybrid event, we are pivoting so as to be the best stewards of your precious resources. By making this a virtual event only, we will trim our expenses considerably, thereby also being able to reduce the registration fee for all participants.
The summit’s goals are to:
- Acknowledge what we’ve lived through during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Recognize the innovative ways we have survived and, in many places and ways, thrived.
- Capture these ideas and invite one another to work together in further exploration of what fits now, where we need to stretch ourselves, and how we build capacity to resource the church’s needs as it evolves.
