Notes from the Pastoral Care Team

When the church cares for each other, through a call, a card, a ride, a meal, it is one of the best examples of being church. These acts are critical to creating a loving community and we thank all of you who do this, as part of your day to day life. Once in a while folks have greater needs well beyond what individuals can help with. Often that is when they may turn to the Pastoral Care Team. We can generally help with larger issues, and we often do. Still, there are limits in how much we help, and how often. 


Please know confidentiality is a high priority. If you feel overwhelmed at the help being requested, feel free to reach out to the Care Team via the Care Line 206.639.7739, which is checked daily. We may be able to offer some guidance and suggestions, without breaching confidentiality. The Care Line is for non-emergency issues. For acute mental health crisis, we recommend calling 988, or texting “Home” to the Crisis Care Line at 741741.
