Gifts to 2022 Lenten Special Offering will be divided evenly between One Great Hour of Sharing and funds to support Immigration Ministry Team’s tremendous work settling a family from Afghanistan.

One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) is one of four special mission offerings of the United Church of Christ supporting disaster, refugee, and development ministries of the United Church of Christ within Wider Church Ministries. Around the world, millions of people lack access to sustainable food sources, clean water, sanitation, education, and opportunity. The support of OGHS serves individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, OGHS provides people with safety, sustenance, and hope, improving the lives of people in these challenging situations.

Plymouth Welcome Circle, part of our Immigration Ministry Team, is settling a delightful family of 8 people: 6 children and 2 parents. The family is surprised by how much it costs here for a large family to have food, clothing and shelter. They are very grateful for the generous support and welcome Plymouth Church is providing. Both parties are learning new things about each other's cultures and faith. It is a gift to be building relationships with them.
