When I first joined Plymouth Church as Director of Finance and Administration, I came not just
to manage numbers, but to serve—with clarity, integrity, and care. Like many, I was drawn to
Plymouth’s mission of justice and inclusion. I quickly saw that behind every act of compassion
and outreach is a structure that quietly holds it all together.
That’s where leadership comes in—not always loud or visible, but essential.
In my work, I focus on building the systems that allow ministry to flourish: strengthening
internal controls, ensuring financial transparency, and safeguarding the digital tools we rely on.
These improvements aren’t just operational—they’re relational. They say to our community: You
can trust this place.
We recently introduced a new QR code for giving—simple, secure, and accessible. It's a small
example of how we’re using technology to serve with efficiency and care. But just as important
is the mindset behind it: leadership that listens, learns, and leads by building trust.
My doctoral research has deepened my belief that feedback, empathy, and accountability are at
the heart of effective leadership. I’m grateful to bring those values into a faith community where
purpose and responsibility go hand in hand.
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
—Matthew 20:26 (NIV)
I’m honored to walk alongside you.
