President Biden has proposed a rule that essentially will deny many people fleeing their countries the right to ask for asylum at our southern border, including those asylum seekers with the least resources and privilege. The proposed rule is on a very fast track for comment, review and implementation.

The Plymouth Immigration Ministry Team is asking you to submit a comment immediately to the Federal Register to prevent this asylum ban from going into effect in May. Below is a link to a template from Church World Service where you can comment easily on their site or directly to the Federal Registry. Please remember you can’t just copy the template; you must also add at least a sentence that makes your comment unique, or your response won’t be counted. You will also find links to easily email our senators and representatives in Congress. You can also call and leave a message for them.
