Plymouth Church is thrilled to announce our participation in this year's Pride Parade under the theme "Now!" We’re coming out for this momentous occasion to continue our solidarity with the Queer and Trans community, celebrating love, acceptance, and the inherent dignity of all as a feature of following Jesus Christ.
Our participation shows our Visibility and Support. By being loving co-conspirators, we show that our faith community embraces and celebrates inclusivity and love for all–and has for almost 30 years. In addition, we are countering hate. In light of recent anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric and legislation, it is more important than ever to stand up for justice and equality. Still further, Plymouth is building bridges and doing outreach to those in need of a courageous and healing sacred space. By joining the parade, we foster a sense of unity and demonstrate that the Christian faith and LGBTQIA+ pride can and must coexist harmoniously.
