A Moral Response to the Pandemic and Police Violence

June 16, 2020

Join leaders of faith  6-8 pm, Wednesday, June 17, as we together discuss the intersecting emergencies of a global health pandemic, economic crisis, the ongoing police violence against Black (and Brown) communities, and proposals like #DefundThePolice and #TaxAmazon. We will identify specific concrete actions that the City, County, State and each of us as individuals should take to ensure a proper moral response. Local elected officials will be invited to listen and respond to the recommended actions.

Speakers to include: Rev. Dr. Kelle J Brown, Rev. Dr. Robert Jeffrey, Rev. Bianca Davis-Lovelace, Rabbi David Basior, Imam Abdirahman Kaariye, Rev. Genjo Marinello, Lalita Uppala, and moderated by Rev. Angela Ying and Sister Aneelah Afzali. Speakers list to be updated. Other faith leaders strongly encouraged to sign up and be recognized in the program.
