About Our Giving...

December 10, 2019

Luke reminds us in Acts 20:35 of the affirmation of Jesus, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Some have humorously noted this as most often being shared by those looking to receive! So as we come to the end of the year, here are a few things to remind us of in our giving.

  • All contributions for 2019 must be postmarked by December 31. All postmarked contributions will be given credit towards 2019. The church office will be open until 2 pm on December 31. All donations will be deposited that day for credit towards pledges and for tax donation records for 2019 unless otherwise indicated as a prepayment for 2020.
  • All automatic drafts from bank accounts, credit/debit cards, etc. are in effect only through Dec. 31, 2019. The church office will be sending out an email to all who have made commitments using automatic giving drafts for your authorization to renew for 2020 and at what amount. You will be asked to respond to the email accordingly for authorization. This may be a new pledge amount for 2020. When we have our pledge campaign in 2020, further adjustments can be made.
  • For all who would like to utilize automatic giving in 2020, please contact Diane in the church office with your banking information to set up your recurring gift. Pledges and regular online automatic giving options are available through bank drafts, credit/debit cards, stock donations, and text-to-give. Please call the church office with questions or for assistance, 206.622.4865.

As you consider your year end giving through the ministry outreach of Plymouth Church UCC, be confident in the blessing we share with the community and world around us; be assured of the blessing you are as a child of God; be encouraged in the blessing you receive. Jesus reminds us it is so! Yours in grace and hope, Rev. Steven Davis, Executive Minister
