Starting Dec. 15, 3 to 5 pm, Gethsemane Lutheran Church hosts “Music at 9th and Stewart,” an exciting new concert series to benefit immigrants and families experiencing food and housing insecurity. Beneficiaries are Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, The Hope Center, The Church Council of Greater Seattle and Mary's Place.
Enliven your holiday season and experience a traditional holiday party, or Cèilidh, with Celtic music by The Beggar Boys, featuring songs and stories from Ireland, Scotland and Wales at Naked City Brewery, 8564 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103.
Ethereal vocals blend with fiddles, whistle and guitar to create the Beggar Boys' signature sound of traditional songs and powerful originals, penned as “lush and revealing” by the Boston Globe. This festive program also features Larry Young's dramatic storytelling and live Irish step dancing performed by students from Seattle's Tara Academy of Irish Dance.
