Choral Arts NW Presents "Big Blue Marble"

May 7, 2019

This Saturday at 8 pm, Choral Arts Northwest, Plymouth’s Choral Group-in-Residence, presents a nature-inspired choral celebration of nature and the environment, featuring poems by Mary Oliver. Readings of Oliver's poems pair with musical works including Eric Barnum's I Cannot Hold Thee Close Enough, Joan Szymko's The Peace of Wild Things, Erika Lloyd's pop-inspired Cells, Planets and two world premieres on nature themes by John David Earnest and by Composer-in-Residence Rick Asher.

Filled with choral gems new and old, Big Blue offers festive choral colors to match the splendor of our wondrous Earth.

Robert Bode, Artistic Director and Conductor, is joined by guest artists: Prime Voci (Seattle Girls Choir) - Jacob Winkler, conductor; Virginia Dziekonski, cello; Serena Chin and Lee Thompson, piano.

Choral Arts NW partners with the National Forest Foundation (www.nationalforests.org) and will plant one tree for every ticket sold for The Big Blue Marble. Help Choral Arts NW celebrate and renew the environment through a weekend of stunning music! Discount tickets available for Plymouth members at the door.
