November 4 Concert Benefited Casa Latina
What a generous group it was at Plymouth Church Sunday (Nov 4 Mozart Requiem Concert), both in donations and spirit! We are overwhelmed by the support your community showed at the concert. Our staff and volunteers fielded lots of questions and made many connections.
I am a relatively new staff member at Casa Latina, but from my very first week in May, I heard about the long-term partnership between our communities and how much we value your congregation. Thank you for the tremendous work that you do, for the beautiful concert and for the gesture of solidarity you give to Seattle’s Latino immigrant community. It means so very much to us!
You helped raise $6,036 for Casa Latina! We cannot believe it! There were at least 144 distinct donors, and many more who gave anonymously. We want to thank each and every one of them! On behalf of the members, staff and volunteers of the Casa Latina community, MIL GRACIAS! Events like this one bring us all closer together in moments of connection and shared experience- something we truly need in times like these. Thank you. – Gratefully, Anna Raksany, Development and Communications Director, Casa Latina

Plymouth Church UCC recently provided free classroom space for GLSEN Washington, an organization whose mission is to create safe and affirming schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
“Because of your congregation's generosity, our 9 student leaders from around Seattle had the opportunity to develop leadership and advocacy skills in a way that will serve them as they grow into the next generation of leaders. Students came away with new friends, a renewed focus on advocating for others and an appreciation for the generosity you have shown to us and them. Your staff was incredibly kind, attentive and always upbeat. They always made sure we had what we needed and even went the extra mile providing refreshments!
For many of the students, it was a new and great experience to be welcomed so warmly into a religious environment. Thank you both and to all of Plymouth for making this program possible. I look forward to future partnerships with you and Plymouth!” –Thank you, Nick, Oliver, Paul, and Lauren and the Summer Leadership Council students of GLSEN Washington
Thanks to Sari Breznau for the ride, which provided access to Mexico and Mozart in our magnificent Sanctuary, concerns of all including Nancy Federici and Hedy Fredrickson. Thanks to Susan Ford also for encouragement, lunch, flowers and helping me sort out piles of papers, due to my painful and useless right arm. Only at Plymouth! Praise God! – Jessie Attri
