Grief Support Group Begins March 1

February 25, 2020

When a loved one dies, those left behind often face a difficult transition. As a church community, we can help each other navigate the grief process, which can include feelings of sadness, anger and guilt, along with treasured memories. A grief support group offers an opportunity to gather with others for mutual support.

A six-week Grief Support Group will be offered on Sundays after worship, March 1-April 5, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Rev. Donene Blair will facilitate the group, along with other guests. This group is intended for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one within the past year or so, including those with dear ones who are approaching the end of life. The final meeting on April 5 will be open to the entire congregation. A representative from End of Life Washington will advise us about processes and documents to have in place to prepare for our own end of life.

Please contact Donene if you are interested in participating in the support group. Email her at or call the church office.
