Help with Lenten Daily Devotional

January 12, 2021

We received such great feedback about how meaningful the Advent devotional was for so many in our church community that we have decided to create a similar devotional booklet for Lent this year. In this time when we can’t physically be together, it is particularly meaningful for our faith community to experience Lent through a devotional made up of submissions from one another. Our theme for Lent this year is Seeing Through the Darkness. Submissions can be stories from your life, prayers, photography, poetry (your own or favorite poems written by others), or art. Here are some questions to get you thinking: What role has the darkness played in your faith journey? What are the gifts found in darkness? Where do you find hope? How have you been able to move through dark times in your life?

This is an ambitious project, as we need almost twice the submissions as we had in Advent to cover the days of Lent. Please email your submissions to Jennifer Castle at JCastle@PlymouthChurchSeattle.org by Wednesday, February 3, in order for us to put the devotional together in time for the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday, February 17. Please contact Jennifer if you have questions or need more information.
