Immigration Workshop 2: What’s Next? with Rev. Diakonda Gurning

December 3, 2019

Are you ready to discuss the challenges with the current situation of US immigration facing us as individuals and as a community of faith today? Will you consider what actions you and Plymouth might take to work on this in the coming months? Come to Faith Formation with the Reverend Diakonda Gurning on Sunday, December 8 from 11:45 -1:30. All ages are welcome. A light lunch will be served.

Rev. Gurning is pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church in Shoreline. He’s one of the co-founders of the Washington New Sanctuary Movement, a faith-based community protecting the rights of all immigrants and working for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. People who participated in his first workshop in October on how we each play a part in our current immigration system were surprised by his honesty, depth of understanding and his experience as a migrant himself, living in the Northwest. We are delighted to welcome Reverend Gurning back to Plymouth to help us consider where God is calling us next as people of faith.
