Keep People Housed

April 5, 2021

King County ranks third in the US - behind NYC and LA - on the number of People Experiencing Homelessness. Plymouth's go-to organization for advocacy, Faith Action Network (www.fanwa.org) recommends these three bills that have been negotiated and are advancing this session to keep people housed:  HB 1236, HB 1277 and SB 5160.

  • Increase funding for the Housing Trust Fund by $250M.
  • Pass the Eviction Reform bill (SB 5160 Sen. Kuderer).
  • Pass the Just Cause and Rental Assistance bills (HB 1236 Rep. Macri).

Please call the Legislative Hotline - 1.800.562.6000 During business hours (until April 23: 8-7 Monday-Friday) to leave a message for your senator, representative or the governor. (You need to provide your address when you leave a message.)

Please pray as well for the highest and best actions by our state legislators to house people experiencing homelessness and to keep people housed.  -Plymouth's Peace Action Group
