Pull out your bell bottoms, slip on your platform shoes and rock out to the best tunes of the 1970’s by Joyful Noise. The Seattle community ensemble of 40 includes six Plymouth folks; Don and Mae Bell, John and Phyllis Daniels, Vicki Schoettle and Kristine Danzinger.
Take that “Midnight Train to Georgia,” famously sung by Gladys Knight and the Pips and groove to “You’re the One that I Want” from the musical Grease. And how could we have a 70’s concert without an ABBA medley? We can’t. We’ll also sing hits from Elton John, Carole King, the Eagles, The Carpenters, Barry Manilow, Fleetwood Mac and more.
Concerts at the idyllic woodland setting of The Congregational Church on Mercer Island (4545 Island Crest Way) 3 pm, Sunday, May 5. Street parking and lots adjacent to church is free on Sundays.
Advance tickets available at Brown Paper Tickets $20/Adults ($25 at the door) and $15/Seniors ($20 at the door). Groups of 10 or more/$10 per person in advance, through BPT and at the door.
