Rev. Kevin Bechtold Preaches July 21

July 16, 2019

Sunday, July 21 hear the word from Rev. Kevin Bechtold when he preaches on “The Call of the Prophets.” (Amos 8:1-12)

Kevin grew up attending Plymouth and claims Plymouth as his church home since his 2001 confirmation. He recalls first hearing the call to ministry as a teenager. “I was sitting in the Sanctuary listening and watching Rev. Tony Robinson. It was intriguing to me, the idea of talking to people about faith and God.” He went on to earn his BA in Religious Studies from University of Oregon and a Master of Divinity from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University. Kevin was ordained at Plymouth Church UCC.

Kevin’s participation in Plymouth UCC includes volunteering as a Congregational Council member and participating in a ministerial search team committee (‘a faith-deepening experience,’ he adds). In 2017, Kevin helped lead Plymouth’s high school youth program.

Kevin, his wife Alicia and their two-year-old son Luke, live in Lynnwood, Washington. Jennifer Castle will preach next Sunday, July 28. Invite a friend to worship Sundays at 10:30 am.
