Reflecting on Women’s Retreat

October 23, 2018

Last weekend, the women of Plymouth gathered for a weekend of reflection, community and relaxation. In safe spaces, we shared experiences of what it meant for each of us to be a woman within the context of our own lives and society, and how that changes over our lifespan.

We enjoyed fantastic food cooked by others, laughed as we relaxed at happy hour and explored how the history of the divine feminine is woven throughout the history of religion. Most importantly, we had the chance to just be with one another and enjoy each other’s company.

Jennifer Kaiton and I would like to thank every person who attended and contributed to this retreat. Thank you for taking a chance on us and inviting us to lead the first women’s retreat either of us have attended.

An important note we want to highlight is the incredible honor it was to have such a range of ages present. From one to 91, and all ages in between, every woman’s perspective enriched the community in their own way. You all are divinely beautiful and absolute gifts to this community.

Thank you and we will see you next year! –Anna Colwell
