Renewing Our Covenant

November 6, 2018

Sunday, November 11, we respond to God in our worship by celebrating who we are as a congregation, as people in covenant with God and each other to be and grow an increasingly diverse and faithful community as Plymouth Church UCC. As you complete your 2019 pledge cards for your financial commitments as well as time and talent volunteer opportunities, please bring cards to dedicate in worship together. If not be present this Sunday, please mail card to the church office in the envelope provided so it may be included in the dedication. This is your opportunity to share with all the faith family in renewing our life in covenant together. Please plan to be present and share.

As part of our worship celebration, we will receive new persons in covenant who participated in our recent Covenant Gatherings to explore and share for themselves the journey of faith. Welcome them and renew our covenant in worship together. Brunch in Hildebrand Hall will be available to welcome new friends and be with each other, hosted by our Community and Care Hospitality Team.

Through the years, we’ve sought ways for people to directly connect to supporting ministry at Plymouth Church UCC. While our financial contributions and pledges have long supported a significant portion of our annual budget, many also share the contribution of their time through volunteer support tasks. This year, we invite ALL the Plymouth family and friends to share time, talent and treasure as you consider your walk of faith in covenant with God and Plymouth Church UCC. Please use the following website link to see the list of volunteer opportunities (Opportunties). Then share your selections through the second link to indicate your personal volunteer choices for (Sign Up), which connects to Simple Church. Questions? Please contact Rev. Steve Davis or Brandon Burns in the Church Office for assistance.

Please drop by the Welcome Desk in the first-floor lobby area if you need additional materials Sunday morning. We ask you to prayerfully consider how you will participate in 2019! As we ask, “What Shall We Bring?” together, know that as we hold one another together in covenant and walk in faith, God will continue to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think!

—Yours in covenant, Rev. Steven Davis, Executive Minister
