Celebrate Christmas Eve with Plymouth

December 18, 2018

Advent’s time of waiting is nearly over; Monday, December 24, Christmas Eve, we finally light the Christ Candle and celebrate the birth of Jesus! Worship services are 5 pm and 9 pm, with refreshments between services and ample free parking available in Plymouth and IBM garages.

The 5 pm Celebration Worship includes music with Morgan Tso, ‘beatboxing’ along with Soul Choir and two fine professionals rounding out the band, Olivia Hamilton and Adam Kozie. Both Jenny (Palmason) Kaiton and tenor Jon Palmason will be featured. Welcome Jon and his voice back in the Sanctuary! Sophia Boyd-Fliegel will play violin.

9 pm Candlelight Worship musical prelude begins at 8:30 pm, when Plymouth Chancel Choir presents “Christmas Story” (Weinachts historie) by Heinrich Schütz. The Choir, directed by Dr. Wanda Griffiths, are joined by string ensemble and organ by La Donna Bowers. Plymouth Ringers share an arrangement of Sussex Carol.

The Reverend Dr. Kelle Brown delivers the Christmas message for both services and the congregation is invited to sing carols by candlelight. Share the beloved Plymouth Christmas Eve tradition with friends and family!
