Passion and Poverty

April 16, 2019

This year, our Good Friday worship will focus on the connection between the last seven words of Jesus and the scourge of poverty that pervades our society. How might Jesus have been revealing his concern for the poor through his words?

The Rev. Bianca Davis Lovelace, Washington state Coordinator of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for a Moral Revival will testify to the reality of poverty. Thereafter, seven women preachers: Rev. Eliana Maxim, Rev. Dr. Angela Parker, Rev. Shalom Agtarap, Rev. Dr. Heidi Husted Armstrong, Rev. Priscilla Austin, Rev. Lina Thompson and Rev. Dr. Kelle Brown will preach, with the Rev. Dr. Linda Smith officiating.

All are welcome. Invite a friend or coworker to this powerful service.
