Most years, in May, Plymouth Church Council organizes an all-church retreat at the beautiful UCC Conference Center at Pilgrim First in Port Orchard. Retreats are a great way to get to know other Plymouth members better. This year our plate is full, and the Council doesn’t have the extra time and energy needed for a well-organized and successful retreat.
Fortunately, Plymouth is a busy happening place. With Reverend Brigitta Remole’s leadership we are vigorously pursuing congregational goals of vital worship, music and arts and new initiatives for young people. In particular, the Church Council has many responsibilities to help manage the upcoming Sanctuary improvements, Fisk Organ installation and capital campaign to successful culmination.
Unfortunately, we will miss the relationship-building which happens best at special times and places like Pilgrim Firs with its relaxation and beauty. Now that we have and extra free May weekend, invite a new Plymouth acquaintance over to share dinner, a cup of coffee or a hike? Invite a neighbor or friend to experience a Sunday morning at Plymouth. And remember, we need advance volunteers to help with Pilgrim Firs 2015!
