On behalf of this year’s planning team, I encourage all members and friends of Plymouth to come to Camp N-Sid-Sen, July 20-26. Spending a week on lovely Lake Coeur d’Alene has been a summer highlight for our family since we first took the plunge 21 years ago. When the kids were little, we loved watching them get swept up in wholesome outdoor activities and friendships across the generations. And we noticed a wonderful side benefit to this Community Care style of parenting — oodles of adult time for us!
Other joys we discovered over the years include walking the miles of hiking trails, learning about the forest and the camp’s conservation practices, forming impromptu play-reading groups, coffee on the porch, sports in the meadow, dancing in the pavilion…it’s too much to list. But a grand theme runs through it — a glimpse of the bountiful peace of being God’s community. To learn more, stop by the kiosk in the Lounge before or after the 11 am service June 8 and 15. Members of the planning team are waiting to fill you in on the details. We hope to see you at N-Sid-Sen this summer!
