I found some rare and interesting books in the Library closet that are too old, fragile and in some cases, too valuable, to have in our collection. The Library Committee and I decided to auction books to raise much needed library funds.
For example, there are two copies of Pioneer Days on Puget Sound, written by Arthur Denny, an 1888 first edition inscribed by Denny's granddaughter, Florence Denny Heliker, and an interesting 1965 numbered copy of a limited publication of about 500. Go to the library blog to read about these and the other eleven books being offered: LIBRARY BLOG
The blog explains how to participate in our silent auction. If you would like to see the books, I will have them on display in Hildebrand Hall during coffee hour Sunday, June 15. The auction closes June 23. Questions? Please contact me at PlymouthLibrary@PlymouthChurchSeattle.org. Thank you for supporting Plymouth Library.
