Piece by Piece

August 30, 2014

Plymouth Piecemakers, a dedicated group of volunteers, was founded in 1989 by long-time Plymouth member and quilter Maurine Noble. Through the years, the group has created quilts to celebrate and honor Church milestones, to swaddle new babies, to comfort high school graduates on their journeys and to share with Plymouth Healing Community residents and companions. The group meets Tuesday evenings at one another’s homes where they swap ideas and bring projects in progress.

“Newcomers, from novice to advanced quilters, are welcome,” says Harriet Naf. “Maurine’s enthusiasm inspired me and the camaraderie keeps me coming back; it’s all about friendship and fun. We share fabrics and ideas. Come and learn with us!”

In addition to their monthly gatherings, Piecemakers attend quilting seminars to grow their skills and meet other quilters. For more information about how to participate, please contact Patricia Belyea,  Patricia@Okanarts.com.
