What do Malcolm Gladwell, Robert Reich and Jenn Hagedorn have in common? They are all attending the 2014 American Sociological Association’s Annual Meeting! This year’s theme is “Hard Times: The Impact of Economic Inequality on Families and Individuals,” is directly related to the work that the Living Wage Ministry Team has been doing in the past months. The conference will be a wonderful opportunity to connect to the research that is being done on economic inequality and generate ideas about how Plymouth can further engage on this issue.
If you are interested in following along, Jenn will be posting updates, pictures and reflections to Plymouth’s Social Justice blog and the Plymouth Friends Facebook Page throughout the meeting, which is from August 15-18th. Join in the conversation by posting questions or comments!

A group of faith and community folks gathered in the lobby to pray for worker justice while waiting to speak to management. This is a part of ongoing efforts of faith and community leaders to support organizing within hotels that are Plymouth’s neighbors.Subscribe
