If you are looking to deepen your faith during Lent and draw closer to people in our church community, this small group experience is for you. During March, Plymouth Adult Education Board invites you to join Lenten Neighborhood Study Groups. Gather weekly in your neighborhood, share a light bite and discuss Marcus Borg’s final book, Convictions: How I Learned What Matters Most.
Convictions reads like a faith journey; it offers rich discussion topics that guide exploration, provide insights and help center our faith lives. Borg, a preeminent Northwest theologian and Bible scholar, called this book ‘a manifesto for progressive Christians.’
Groups will meet in the following neighborhoods: Ballard; Eastside/Mercer Island/Southeast Seattle; West Seattle; Horizon House; Madison Park/Madrona/Capitol Hill area; Northeast Seattle.
Please join us! Watch the Herald for more specifics about locations and times. Contact Jennifer Castle in the church office with questions or to sign up: JCastle@PlymouthChurchSeattle.org. Child care may be available with advance notice. Order book from your local bookseller, online or pick up at the church office for $15.Subscribe
